Air Classifier Mill
The Air Classifier Mill is an integrated dry-process ultrafine grinding equipment combining impact pulverization and built-in dynamic air classification. It is widely used for ATH (aluminum hydroxide) flame retardant filler and other soft mineral processing, featuring stepless adjustable fineness, narrow particle size distribution and powerful de-agglomeration performance. An optional ceramic-lined grinding chamber prevents iron contamination and ensures high whiteness of the final product. It can be directly connected with surface activation modification equipment and automatic packaging machines to form a full closed ATH deep processing production line.

How It Works

Raw ATH material enters the grinding chamber through the feed valve and is crushed by high-speed rotating impact discs under strong impact, shear and collision forces. The airflow carries crushed ATH particles upward to the built-in turbine classifier. Qualified fine ATH powder passes through the classifier and is collected by the cyclone separator and bag dust collector, while oversized coarse ATH particles are thrown back to the grinding chamber for re-grinding under centrifugal force, forming a closed-circuit continuous grinding cycle. The grinding chamber is fitted with a water-cooling jacket to control milling temperature below 90°C, effectively preventing thermal decomposition of ATH and preserving its flame retardant properties.
